Ryan Rousseau's (Destruction Unit, Gila Man) Dismal Light project is full of dark texture and hypnotic driving rhythms. "Mindswap," the first release on Ausaca, has tracks ranging from wonked out old blues recordings to near dark dance floor jams. Rousseau explores the outer territories of space and time, not adhering to any one genre throughout the 30 minutes on this tape.
Limited to 100 copies, pro-dubbed with photolithography printed j-card inserts made in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I don't know any of the musicians on this lp/cd but have heard of the struggle against the pipeline in Dakota, so I bought it for that alone. The music is actually quite good. Surprise yourself and take a punt. Novasquad23
Unabashedly transportive improvisation. Gracefully executed psychedelic excursions. This is meditative music that takes you up and out of your body. J. M. Hart
